Volunteer Day at Wexford Campus

Wexford Tidy Towns representatives attended the Student Volunteer Day at the Wexford Campus in Summerhill today. The hope is that some of the students will volunteer and help out on our regular cleanups. An added incentive for students is the opportunity to earn an IT Carlow President’s Volunteer Award. There is a Gold Award for 60 hours volunteering, a Silver for 40 hours and a Bronze for 20 hours. Apart from getting students to work with, and within, local communities, the expectation is that they will also develop good civic and leadership skills.
